A father and his child were at a loss at west Shinjuku. I thought we would sleep in the open.

It was a night of the spring vacation I was 15 years old. My father suddenly said to me.
"Hey, I and you will go to Tokyo next morning. Prepare for it".
I asked him why we would go to Tokyo.
"We are going to universities you will have entrance exam."

I had never been to Tokyo till the time. So I prepared for it in spite of the reason.

It was a heavy schedule! The first day. We went to Fukuoka by the train. And we visited Kyusyu University and Seinan Gakuin University. After that, we went to Fukuoka Airport and took an airplane to go to Itami (Osaka) Airport. And we went to Kyoto and checked into a hotel near Kyoto Station.

The second day. We visited Doshisya University, Kyoto University and Ritsumeikan University in the morning. After that, we took Shinkansen to go to Tokyo. As soon as we arrived Tokyo, we went to Ochanomizu and visited Meiji University, Nihon University and Tokyo University. We stayed a hotel in Shinjuku at the night.

The third day. We went to Takadano-Baba to visit Waseda University in the morning. In the afternoon, we went to Haneda Airport after visiting Keio University. And we came back to our home at last.

By the way, my father had no reservation for the trip! So in Shinjuku, we had to look for a vacant hotel for two hours.

Now when I look back the memory, I wonder why my father did it. He spent much money for it during three days...

Well, after the experience I bacame a high school student. I read "Monogusa Taro" written by Kiyoteru Hanada and was impressed.
It expressed a needy life in Tokyo. I wonder why I was impressed by it. Because now I know that needy life in Tokyo is so sad. But after reading "Monogusa Taro", I hoped to live in Tokyo.

And... There was a teacher in my high school. His name was Mr. Sawaki. He was graduated from Kokugakuin University in Tokyo. He had always told us about the life in Tokyo.
It reminded me "Singer and songwriter". Listening to his story, I hoped to live in Tokyo more.

And I had some examinations to enter a university. All of universities I tried were in Tokyo. I passed one of it and started to live in Tokyo.

I don't want to explain about life in Tokyo to you. Because now I don't know that I will be able to continue life in Tokyo or not. But... I have to say that I love Tokyo.
